This past week has been a whirlwind of activity and joy for my husband, Ed, and me. We embarked on a wonderful trip to Virginia to lend a helping hand to our newlywed daughter and her husband. Their charming new house, which I previously shared details about in this earlier post, is slowly but surely transforming into their dream home. It was a truly fulfilling weekend spent contributing to their exciting new chapter.
Among the various projects we tackled, we focused on some key enhancements. We meticulously hung elegant drapes, installed practical and energy-efficient storm and screen doors, and perhaps the most exciting task of all, wallpapered an accent wall in a room destined to become the nursery for our third grandchild! Yes, you heard that right – our daughter Mandy is expecting a baby boy, due to arrive this October. The excitement is absolutely palpable in our family, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome another little one!
The nursery design is coming along beautifully, with plans for a soothing palette of blue, grey, and white. We envision a space that is both serene and stimulating for our grandson.
