Like most flooring materials exposed to intense, prolonged sunlight, NuCore can exhibit some fading. We have one room, my studioffice, which receives full southern sun exposure all day long. In this particular area, especially in front of the sliding glass doors, the flooring has faded slightly over the years. To illustrate this, in the photo below, I’ve marked a spot where an area rug was rolled up, clearly showing the subtle difference in color where it was protected from the sun. In contrast, the full bath with NuCore flooring is also bright and sunny, but because it doesn’t receive continuous, direct sun exposure throughout the entire day, the flooring there has not faded at all. This suggests that while NuCore is durable, direct and constant UV exposure can lead to some color change over time.
