- Bubble level: Crucial for ensuring all your shelves are perfectly horizontal, preventing items from sliding off and creating a professional finish.

For the shelves themselves, I used the 11-1/4″ wide MDF boards, cut to the precise width of the closet. Instead of using one wide board for each shelf, I used two. This clever technique proved invaluable:
- Easier Installation: Handling two narrower boards is significantly simpler than maneuvering one large, awkward board into a confined space, especially when working alone.
- Enhanced Stability and Depth: By placing two boards side-by-side, I created shelves that were both deep and incredibly stable, capable of holding heavier items without bowing. This custom approach allowed me to create a highly efficient and sturdy storage system perfectly tailored to my needs.

The transformation is truly remarkable. What was once a dark, disorganized corner now stands as a beacon of efficiency and order. At the very bottom, a generous 17 inches of space was left between the floor and the first shelf. This thoughtful allocation of space ensures that the closet can truly accommodate a diverse range of household goods, making it incredibly versatile.
