This past Thanksgiving, my husband, Ed, and I enjoyed a wonderfully quiet yet enriching few days with our younger daughter, Mandy. It was a perfect blend of relaxation and festive activities. We savored casual homemade dinners, had a delightful evening out, caught up on some favorite movies, and even attended a beautiful Christmas concert. One of the highlights was a charming holiday river walk, immersing ourselves in the seasonal ambiance.

The weather in South Carolina was unseasonably warm, tempting us with thoughts of kayaking. While it was certainly on the agenda for some, I’m currently one month post-hip replacement surgery. I’m moving around remarkably well, and my recovery is progressing wonderfully, but getting into a kayak still requires a bit more time and caution. I’m looking forward to getting back on the water soon!

Today marks a return to work, and the holiday spirit is definitely in full swing here at home. My immediate focus is preparing the house for an upcoming Christmas Home Tour scheduled for Thursday this week.
