Style Scouting: Vol. 70

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are getting to enjoy the last day of the holiday weekend.

My daughter Mandy did an excellent job hosting for the the first time. We have yummy leftovers to enjoy for another meal or two.

I also got to see my younger sister and brother-in-law whom I haven’t seen for 3 years. We just hung out and enjoyed just being together again.

Now that I am home, I am full into the Christmas season and will start sharing decorating ideas and more including my holiday home tour this week.

Decorating

Christmas decor doesn’t always have to be done in traditional colors.

DIY

I have to do a few of these things for my garden.

Crafts

What a cute Christmas garland to make. I think I would even make a few ornaments too.

Mini paper Christmas tree. And these felt trees.

My family always makes sure to have table crackers for Thanksgiving and Christmas. My sister told me she was having a hard time finding them this year. I just sent her this link on how you can make them yourself.

This cardboard star looks easy to make – tree topper, an ornament or even a gift topper.

Food

Potatoes look pretty good made this way.

Turn your Thanksgiving leftovers into nachos.

Gifts & Gift Wrapping Ideas

Creative gift wrapping ideas using a simple brown paper bag. And you will fine one more about half way down in this post.

Home, Fashion & Beauty

A winter candle that doesn’t smell sweet.

My new go-to foundation. I need SPF everyday. I like this one as it is not shiny and feels lightweight on my skin.

Fun & Interesting

The world’s most magical Christmas towns. A few are right here in the US.

A very heartwarming story.

Always fun to see how things are made – I bet you picked up one of these in your life.

Something To Think About

This is only one success story that would have never happened if one mother’s grief turned into something very positive for pediatric cancer. In this cookie baking and giving season – consider giving these cookies to your friends, colleagues and family this year.
